A pigeon visits

Nolan and I are working on Problem Library a few days ago. Nolan is sanding some old painted wood outside, and I’m doing prep work on a wall that’s being built out with a huge bike rack. A pigeon strolls in.

Nolan shouts as the pigeon flys and hobbles upstairs (it appears to be wounded), and all I can think is “I have to get this on video – where’s my phone?!” – after I find it, I bolt upstairs. When I get up there, the bird is under the bed, Nolan shoes it out with the broom and it flys up to its perch on the helmet.

There are lights that need replacing. They’ll need some cotton wrapped cord. I’m partial to the red. Maybe it’ll fade in the day’s sunlight …

These nails still have life in them. I look forward to letting them live on.
